What are way to loose weight before new school year starts?

I just transfered to a new school for my junior year, and this new school has a lot of really hot guys, and the kids there are rich and make fun of you if your not half descent. I really would like to loose weight before going! This would make me more confident, and probably help me concentrate in class more, instead of worrying about other things.





I'm 16, 5'4" and I'm not sure on my weight, but I know its from 140 to 150. I can never find a scale that is accurate!





Also I'm going to be in a quince in June, and school starts for me in September.





problem areas, well the basics: arms, stomach, and definitely legs, I swear I have the biggest thighs in the world! The weird thing is my waist is smaller than my thighs....I think I've covered everything. Anything else you need to know just ask I'll edit later.

What are way to loose weight before new school year starts?
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.


eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)


5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day


8 glasses of water


have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy


have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle


cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training


dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.


ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
Reply:Run alot and basically limit yourself to only and a lot of water and alot of fruit and no fried foods or fatty foods. It worked for me.

Try drinking water and smoothies instead of anything else. Don't eat junk food, no second servings, take stairs instead of elevators or escalators, and jog early every morning for about an hour. [Music will make the time fly by and make it really fun] Make sure not to starve yourself and instead of eating 3 full meals everyday, eat 6 small meals everyday. That will help your stomach from grumbling and you'll start to get use to it. And put a time limit from where you shouldn't eat.


Example: After 7pm, people start relaxing and being lazy. That would be a good time to stop eating for the day. Or even 8pm is fine.
