What is quince de mayo?

Well, depends on the country.

In México its "teachers day" and in paraguay its "independence day". This is unless you are wrong and confound it with "cinco de mayo" wich is "battle of Puebla" day, when Ignacio Zaragoza defeated the french army on its way to México city.

What is quince de mayo?
do you mean cinco de mayo? it's the 5th of may. a mexican holiday celebrated because they defeated the french. we celebrate that because it is thought that the french would have supported the south in the civil war - but since they were defeated by the mexicans this was not the case and the north prevailed.
Reply:quince de mayo is the fifteenth of may but I think you mean cinco de mayo. Cinco de mayo is the fifth of may and it is a Mexican holiday.
Reply:may 15? I dont know if thats any special holiday, I know cinco de mayo is, and September 15 is mexican independance day.
Reply:Simple answer....Tomorrow! May 15th!
