Yes, but the fruiting quince is sweeter.

My mom was into that sort of thing, but I've never experimented...I guess they don't taste nice raw - have you tried?
My view is, life is too short for that kind of thing. I buy my jam in Sainsburys!!!

Reply:I believe they are. Used to eat them from the garden as a child and it didn't do me any harm. They don't taste too good though. Better to make them into something.
